Choosing the Right Remote Solution for Your CNC

Explore our guide to Fagor-compatible remotes. From 5-axis CNCPD Teach Pendants to 3-axis One-Button remotes, find the perfect drop-in replacement.

Finding the right remote interface is critical for efficiency, especially when navigating complex 5-axis trims or standard 3-axis setups. Here is a breakdown of the best solutions for your Fagor-controlled machines.

Top Solutions for 5-Axis Machines

If you are running a 5-axis setup, you need a full Teach Pendant. While modern CAM has reduced the need to “teach” every point, these remotes remain the fastest way to write manual trim programs.

  • CNCPD Remote Teach Pendant (SKU: CNCPD Remote)
    • Best For: Fagor 8050, 8055, and 8065.
    • Compatibility: A 5V drop-in replacement for discontinued Motionmaster pendants.
    • The Advantage: Our preferred remote for 5-axis retrofits. It features a 25’ cord and is fully repairable (or available for repair-exchange).
  • Euchner HBA-119903 (SKU: 03200015)
    • Compatibility: Replaces the discontinued SKU 03200006.
    • Note: This is the 5V comparable unit to our CNCPD remote, but uses a different plug and is not customer-interchangeable. Features a 15’ cord.

Top Solutions for 3-Axis Machines

For 3-axis machines, a simpler one-button remote is often more ergonomic and cost-effective.

  • CNCPD One-Button Remote
    • Best For: Fagor 8035 through 8060 models.
    • Versatility: Unlike the standard Fagor 100p, we offer custom connections: D-sub (direct to controller), round port (machine body), or flying leads for retrofitters.
    • Specs: 5V handwheel with a 25’ cord. Repairable in-house.
  • Fagor 100P Portable Handwheel (SKU: 8i003006)
    • Compatibility: Direct 5V replacement for our CNCPD version.
    • Constraint: Only available with a round connector, requiring an internal cable to be made by the retrofitter. 10’ cord.

Specialized & Legacy Replacements

Sometimes the hardware configuration of your controller dictates your choice.

  • HBA-119904 Remote (SKU: 13200016): A 24V unit used when the machine uses all of the controller’s available axes. It runs completely off of I/O, not off of the controller’s normal feedback loop.
  • Used Euchner Units (HBE-072502 / HBE-074614): We stock used 23-pin male connector pendants pulled from Motionmaster machines. These are excellent legacy replacements for 5V/24V convertible needs.

Tech Tip: The “Handwheel” itself is technically a Hand Pulse Generator (HPG). It’s the internal component responsible for the actual pulse counting as you click through increments.
